I went to a fireside last night with Richard G. Scott. This makes the third time that I heard him speak (in person, anyway). The first time was on my mission in 2002, the second time was last year at a leadership conference in Birmingham and last night. He said a lot of the same things on all three occasions. At the beginning, I was a little disappointed, but then as the meeting progressed, the same-old same-old started to take on new meaning (as it usually does).
One thing that he said in all three instances that I’ve heard him speak (as well as an Ensign article was when he encouraged the congregation to
“[C]onsistantly strive to learn by what I hear, see, and feel.
I will write down the important things that I learn and I will do them.
