first night

David and I moved in last night. For me, this consisted of putting 3 backpacks full of clothes in the middle of my bedroom and the computer in the corner. I hung up my flannel sheets on the door because on my way into the house, I accidently dipped them into a puddle of water. David had a wooden folding chair and a camp stool on in addition to his clothes and computer. The living room is still completely empty.

We went to Target to get a bathmat, shower curtain, and other various household sundries. Then we went to Kroger. Since we have nothing to cook with yet, (pots, pans, microwave, natural gas) it looks like sandwiches and cereal until the weekend.

I bought an air-mattress until I get a bed. I took it home and found out that the pump needs to be charged for at least 12 hours before its first use…. I slept on the floor.

I was really worried that my paycheck wasn’t going to show up in my account in time. Wouldn’t that suck? My first paycheck bounce? But I called the phone banking thing at 6:30 this morning and all is right with the world.

I guess I can put my DVDs on the bookshelf in the living room.
