astronomers think the world revolves around them

That isn’t just a bad joke, they really do or at least my professor does. He went on this half hour rant about global warming on Thursday and what was funny was the little pouting fit he had that academics in this country aren’t given the respect they “deserve.” He was actually pouting; I was amazed. Aparantly the rest of the world’s policy makers have wizened up and are taking the academics seriously. Are you kidding me? As far as foreign policy makers go, our’s are the best in the world and I don’t care how much you hate Bush.

Don’t get me wrong, I love other countries. I would live in Brazil again no problem, but the fact of the matter is, our government has the most stable, best administered government in the world. I would maybe give Canada I higher spot, but Quebeq tried to seceed and that isn’t a good sign. Most other countries have constant stikes and shoddier public services. Japan and Australia may be okay; I don’t know that much about them.

I shot a scene for my TCF class this afternoon. It was cool. The scene itself was kind of boring. The more I see myself on camera, the more I am glad I am not an actor.

I realized once and for all that I have no life. I realized this as I am standing in line in a drugstore buying astringent on a Saturday night.

I understand the Hubble telescope may be on the chopping block with the current proposed federal budget. Your professor may have to realize that the world does not revolve around him. :)
