National ID cards on the way? | CNET News.com

Don’t people realize this idea would completely suck? Yes, other countries have them and it sucks. You forget your ID at home and get stopped by the police, you can be arrested. Also administratively it is a pain to sort out your ids. And ID theft!! People already do it and if you have an ID using RFID, people with home-made equipment will be able to steal your id by just walking past you. It will be encrypted, of course, but if an encryption is made, it can be unmade. Theives are smarter than the “good guys.” I think it is already passed the house, but we can write emails to the House and Senate anyway.

A bit of a random rant, but this is such a stupid idea. Aaargh! Stupid government with its anti-privacy crap.

Talked to Anthony last night. We’re going to meet up tonight to do a bit of planning for the Scramble. I hope the people that said they want to help are actually going to come through. I think a lot of people are more than willing until Saturday morning comes around.

I think I bombed my Astronomy quiz last night. I have no idea how to convert arcseconds to parsecs.

Spike Lee shouldn’t be on camera.

MTV2’s new website sucks.

Happy, Texas has its moments. It is generally funny, but nothing special. William Macy is a really good actor and Steve Zahn is hilarious as always.

Dangit, I missed Lost again!
